For those who were unable to join our November 11 General Membership Meeting, below is a video spotlighting the results of our Fall 2024 Membership Survey. It’s about 20 minutes long, but I think you’ll find there are some very interesting findings.
Thank you to all who took the time to complete the survey – more than 50 of our ~100 members! That response rate allows us to confidently make assessments and plan our future – with your feedback in mind.
Comments and questions regarding the survey can be directed to HVC Treasurer David Metz at dfmetz@aol.com or via text or call at (865) 368-2506.
Excellent Presentation!
I know that took a lot of time and effort to get out that valuable information. I really appreciate your dedication and passion for a brighter future of the club.
Well done!
Al Barrios
David,
Thank you for putting this togetherand making it available to everyone. It was an excellent presentation. Thank you to all of the club leadership for volunteering your time to keep the club together and organized. I do not have time to be actively involved but enjoy being able to join the regularly scheduled Tuesday / Thursday rides when time allows.
Thanks again,
Josh
I mirror Al Barrios’s comments. Very well done by all who were involved!
On a personal note: I appreciate getting out and being around a great group of people, like the Hky Velo Club has in it, when I can.
On a Professional note: The Hickory Velo Club is vitual to the success of Hickory’s Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department’s cycling based events, e.g. Bicycle Rodeo, Short Track Mountain Bike Series, NC Cyclo-Cross Race Series, City Walk Stroll Celebration, and Mountain Bike Night Rides. I believe there needs to be a strong partnership with the “Club” to show quality community engagement, opportunities for interest, and bicycle advocacy.
Dave,
Thank you for having the foresight and putting in the effort to create this survey.

Agree completely! Appreciate your initiative putting this together, David. Now want to see where rubber hits the road regarding how we connect fellow club member intentions to action.
Thanks,
Bruce
Thanks Dave, and any others not named, who prepared survey, and posted the results! This is a great way to get to know, what our members think! Looking forward to new and exciting activities with the club! Thx again!
